Our Activities
The services currently provided by UNACC include Exercise Classes (Extend keep fit, Extend Mobility) – qualified tutors are employed as and where necessary.
A variety of games are provided:
- Short Mat Bowls
- Table Tennis
- Scrabble
- Whist
- Table Games.
There are also Reminiscence and Local History groups.
We organise outings, including:
- Theatre trips
- day outings to the seaside and country
- holidays.
We also have regular visits from a hairdresser and beauty therapist.
Age Concern Croydon and the Croydon Hearing Resource Centre hold regular surgeries.
Other services include
- Befriending
- Carer Support
- Shopping Service
- Letter Writing
- Help with form filling and referrals, where necessary.
UNACC runs a highly successful Cyber Café offering a unique ‘Computer Buddy’ Service for its members.
Seminars are held regularly on various topics, led by respective professionals.
The Silver Rainbow group, for older gay and lesbian people, meets here once a month.
We also provide work experience to young people.
The Croydon Pop Bus visits the Waterside Centre from time to time, with a wide variety of various services. See the Pop Service website for more information and the timetable.
